One month has passed since my last “My week in Outfits” post and we’re currently in the middle of the summer. It’s very hot in Germany at the moment, therefore I spent a lot of time reading or swimming. But I try to keep up with my vintage style anyway. So here’s number two of the series which hopefully gives you some inspiration for your vintage inspired summer wardrobe 🙂 All of these outfits are from last week (August 6 to August 12), so I’m actually a bit too late but I hope you enjoy it anyway!
For my first day of the new week I went with a simple makeup and a sleek ponytail. I spent most of my day at home, working on some of my projects and reading Agatha Christie. During most of the day I actually wore a pair of grey training shorts, because let’s be honest, it’s still more comfortable for a day at home than wearing skirts with loads of fabric. But when I went outside for a walk with my dog I switched to this lovely polkadot skirt from Vivien of Holloway, which became one of my favorites.
To give this outfit some color, I decided to wear one of my beloved off shoulder shirts and a pink handbag, both from H&M. I just love to wear my modern clothes with vintage reproduction pieces!
On Tuesday I was in a very flowery mood. I wore my blue and white skirt from Dancing Days by Banned – the first vintage skirt I ever bought – and my pale blue top from the same brand. I really like this combination, it really gives me a fresh summery feeling! Since it was extremly warm outside, I did my milkmaid braids and added a selfmade flower clip.
For some contrast and to achieve the right sillouette, I put on my black waist belt from Von50’s. Voila, a vintage flowery outfit!
This is probably one of my favorite outfit combinations! I bought the red top at TopVintage and the beautiful black and white gingham skirt is from Belsira. I don’t know but this outfit kind of gives me some vintage spanish vibes. What do you guys think? And by the way, I listened to Dion’s song “Runaround Sue” while taking the picture 😛
You guys already know this dress from my last “My week in outfit” post. It’s from LindyBop and I tell you, there’s no week without me wearing it. I just love the fabric, it’s so light and perfectly vintage for hot summer days! The earrings I’m wearing are from Poporcelain and the perfect accessoires, if you want a closer look, you can read my review on them here.
My hair was actually curled on this day and looked a lot like those beautiful 40’s waves. But I went downtown in the evening, to see a little concert and it was very windy, so my curls got destroyed. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures during the day. I also realized that my hair grow so fast. I definitely have to cut it again and I’m actually thinking about making it even shorter than the last time!
For Friday’s look, which also has to be my favorite of the week, I made a little Lookbook which you can find here.
You may have realized at this point, that I wore the same hairstyle 3 days in a row. Because of the heat I was kind of lazy to do something special so I just went with my good friend the headband from H&M. Also I was in a very modern or let’s say gypsy kind of mood on Saturday. I changed my bottoms during the day because I went to an outdoor cinema in the evening and it was quite cold. Nearly the whole outfits are from H&M – top, skirt, jeans, the white shoes, bag – except from the wine red shoes (Zara) and the hoop earrings (Bow & Crossbowns).
And by the way, I watched “Murder on the Orient Express” on this evening and I really liked it, even though the book is still better!
And again I wore my headband! I would say it became the week of headband in the end 😀 Anyway, I made a little trip with my boyfriend on Sunday and since it was nice and warm outside, I picked out my skirt from Collectif. And because I always wanted to pair this skirt with some stripes, I went with a top from Pull&Bear. I have to say this is my second favorite outfit of the week!
So guys, that’s it! I really had a great week and especially the weekend was very nice and full of lovely little trips. I hope you enjoyed my second part of this series and I already can’t wait to document the next one for you! Now I have one final question: What was your favorite look of this week?
See you next time,
Your Shirinatra xx
